State police at Clearfield

• State police received a report about an incident of terroristic threats and reckless endangerment that occurred May 5 near Cherry Corner and Camp Corbly roads in Ferguson Township. During the incident, three adults and a juvenile were traveling to go camping. The driver observed a newer gray Toyota Tundra truck, as it approached her vehicle at a high rate of speed. She told state police that its driver began tailgating her. After traveling for a short time, the truck’s male driver allegedly fired a pistol toward her vehicle. He then went around her and sped off toward the Lumber City Highway. State police described the truck as having a John Deere license plate on the front. It also had a washer in its bed. The male driver was Caucasian and had a dark-colored beard. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.

State police at DuBois

• State police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint during the next 30 days in the DuBois barracks’ patrol area.

State police at Punxsutawney

• State police reported on an incident of DUI that occurred May 2 on state Route 310 near Brown Road in Young Township. A male driver was stopped for a summary traffic violation and allegedly determined to be under the influence. Charges were filed through the district court.
• State police reported on an incident of DUI that occurred May 1 on SR 36 near Rainey Lane in Newburg Borough. A male driver was stopped for a summary traffic violation and allegedly determined to be under the influence. Charges were filed through the district court.

State police at Ridgway

• State police received a report about a theft that occurred Wednesday on Burning Well Road in Jones Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a drywall sander, drywall stilts, three extension cords, a rotozip and a screw gun that belonged to the victim. The total value of the items is approximately $560, state police say. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-776-6136.

Clearfield Borough

• Police responded to a minor accident on East Locust Street when a vehicle struck another vehicle’s mirror. The drivers exchanged the necessary information.
• Police received a report about a male who was yelling on East 11^th Police made contact with the male who was intoxicated and he was warned about his actions.
• Police were requested to check the welfare of a NW Fourth Street resident. Upon arrival, police found they were not at home.
• Police are investigating the alleged theft of coins from an East Eighth Street residence.
• A female arrived at the police station after she learned she had an outstanding arrest warrant. She was able to satisfy the warrant at the station.
• Police assisted a motorist who had locked their keys inside their vehicle along Nichols Street.
• Police received a trespassing complaint on East Pine Street. Upon arrival, police found the persons had left the scene.
• Police received a noise complaint on Reed Street. Upon arrival, police were unable to hear anything.
• Lawrence Township police came into contact with a male who held several warrants through the Clearfield Police Department. The male was transported to the jail on the warrants.
• Police arrested a female along East Locust Street for the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and controlled substances.
• Police were dispatched to Milford Street for a cell phone that was reportedly stolen from a residence.
• Police responded to the area of River Road where a large truck had pulled telephone wires down.
• Police received a report about a female who was a passenger in a moving vehicle and using drug paraphernalia. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Lawrence Township

• On Thursday police received a report about a male who was passed out in the driver’s seat of his vehicle in the area of West Front Street and Mount Joy Road. The vehicle was running but sitting stationary at a stop sign. Upon arrival, officers observed the male and that his vehicle was in gear with his foot on the brake. They were able to wake him after pounding on his window for several minutes. At this time, he released his foot from the brake and his vehicle began to drift forward toward the intersection. Upon investigation, the male was allegedly found to be heavily intoxicated and had half-empty beer cans in his center console. Police say he became confrontational with officers and refused to have a legal blood draw. The male was housed in county jail until he could become sober; charges are to be filed against him as a result of the incident.
• Police conducted a traffic stop Thursday at the Cogo’s Gas Station due to an equipment violation. When contact was made with the vehicle’s occupants, officers found a male passenger, identified as Joseph Hunter, was wanted through the Lawrence Township and Clearfield Borough police and the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office. Upon further investigation, police found the male driver was allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia. Hunter was transported to the county jail and housed on the warrants. Charges are pending against the driver.
• Police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Wednesday at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a cell phone from a classroom.
• On Wednesday police met with a female who wanted to discuss a previous case that resulted in the arrest of her significant other. She was interviewed and advised she’d provided a false statement, resulting in her arrest. The female allegedly admitted that she’d provided a false statement to police in an effort to get charges dropped against the male.

DuBois City

• Police responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of North Brady Street and Scribner Avenue. The drivers had exchanged the necessary information prior to police arrival at the scene. Both told police they were OK and didn’t need any further assistance.
• Police were requested to check the welfare of a male who was threatening self-harm. When contact was made, the male told officers he was OK but irritated that they were called. Police let the male speak with a caseworker and ensured everything was OK before clearing the scene.
• Police received a parking complaint on Forest Avenue. Upon arrival, police found the vehicle was legally parked and cleared the scene.
• Police received a report about a theft at the Family Dollar Store. The female suspect was described as having blonde hair; she didn’t have any teeth. She was wearing tight blue pants, a blue tank top and flip flops. She was last seen headed toward Quarry Avenue. Police searched the area but were unable to locate her.
