HYDE — Too much rain Wednesday morning caused the third cancellation in as many days, the fifth of the season, for the Clearfield Area High School baseball team.
Athletic director Robert Gearhart had booked a third game with Mountain League foe Bellefonte just to add an extra game for the Bison, who are 10-5.
They are slated to play at Hollidaysburg Thursday at 4:15 p.m. in another game that was not on their original schedule, one that could be important for the District 9 Class AAAA Tournament seedings of a tightly-bunched four-team field.
The Bison will go to Punxsutawney Friday for the completion of a game suspended on April 11, but it will not factor into the seedings because Thursday is the cutoff date.
