State police at DuBois
- State police reported on an incident of receiving stolen property that occurred Wednesday in the 400 block of North Fourth Street in Reynoldsville Borough. According to state police, a 23-year-old DuBois man was stopped for multiple traffic violations. Upon further investigation, it was found he was driving a vehicle that was allegedly stolen in Sandy Township. He was charged with receiving stolen property, in addition to drug and traffic violations. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred Tuesday or Wednesday at a Hamilton Porter Road business in Perry Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a 6X12 brown box with a black leather top from the Perry Township Sportsmen’s Club’s fish pond. It contained approximately $25, state police say. State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred between March 12 and April 15 at the Wal-Mart store in St. Marys. During the incident, a 36-year-old Penfield woman arrived at the store and selected the same items she had previously purchased. She allegedly returned the items and received cash for them. The total amount stolen was $163.98, state police say. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police reported on a traffic stop that resulted in two warrant services and a drug violation Thursday in the area of Route 879 and the Interstate 80 east on-ramp. When contact was made with the vehicle’s occupants, it was determined the driver – William Cross – was wanted through the Clearfield Borough police. It was also determined that a passenger – Tanner Alley – was wanted through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Department. Upon taking both into custody, an officer observed drug paraphernalia. A search of the vehicle and its contents allegedly resulted in the seizure of drug paraphernalia on a male passenger. Both wanted males were lodged in county jail; Cross was also issued a citation. Charges for possessing drug paraphernalia are to be filed against the passenger.
