The Rev. Jack J. Bremigen, 96, of Clearfield died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Ridgeview Eldercare and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
He was born Oct. 6, 1921 in Jersey Shore, a son of the late Francis and Maude (Busler) Bremigen.
He was an ordained minister for the Assembly of God Church for more than 60 years. He served in Slate Run, Montoursville, Hammersley Fork, Shamokin, Milesburg and Clearfield.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp, having served during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Lois V. (Levin) Bremigen of Clearfield and three daughters, Ruth Hill and her husband, the Rev. Larry of Springfield, Mo., and Sharon Shimko and Joyce Wisor and her husband, Kevin, both of Clearfield.
He is survived by seven grandsons, Jeffrey and Christopher Hill, William and David Shimko, and Kevin Jr., Kenten and Kurtis Wisor; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Maloney of Birmingham, Ala., and Patricia McDonald and Mary Adriance, both of Albany, N.Y.; and two brothers, William Bremigen of Albany, N.Y., and Lloyd Bremigen of Jersey Shore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Helen Czub; two brothers, Leroy and Daniel Bremigen; and a son-in-law, F. William Shimko.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3 at the Jersey Shore Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Hill, son-in-law, officiating.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4 at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Clearfield.
