State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred sometime between April 9 and Monday at a Hilltop Road job site in Boggs Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed two, 12-volt John Deere batteries from a John Deere 130G excavator. Then, they fled the scene; the batteries are valued at approximately $300. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.

During the incident, someone allegedly scammed the victim into paying a bill to what appeared to be Penelec. State police remind residents not to pay any unknown bills by phone.
