DUBOIS – Students in fourth and fifth grade English at DuBois Central Catholic Elementary recently enjoyed an OREO party after completing their unit of study on persuasive writing, according to their teacher, Susie Maurer.
In the photo, two students share in the fun. OREO is an acronym for opinion, reason, explanation, opinion. Itâs a process that teaches the steps in persuasive thinking in preparation for their upcoming Erie Writing Assessment this spring.
A total of 80 students took part in an Oreo party before Easter break, according to Maurer.
