Howard Peachman, 92, of Smoke Run died Monday, April 2, 2018 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg. Born Dec. 6, 1925 in Bigler Township, he was the son of the late Harry and Mary (Siford) Peachman.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Richard L. Beers Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7043.
On June 11, 1949, he married Margaret Neosel at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey. She preceded him in death in 2001.
He will be deeply missed by two children, Howard David Peachman and his wife, Mary Kay of Glen Hope and Kathryn Baronner and her husband, David of Altoona; four grandchildren, Kristina Peachman, David (Cristina) Peachman, Jeffrey (Lauren) Peachman and Brandon (Erin) Baronner; and three great-grandchildren, Darren Peachman, Ryan Peachman and Olivia Baronner.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Ralph Peachman and six sisters, Florence David, Evelyn McGirk, Martha Moore, Helen Gladis, Hazel Williams and Mary McCoy.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Ramey. Father Zab Amar will be officiating.
Military honors will follow by Richard L. Beers Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7043. Burial will be private.
