Grace Liptak, 91, formerly of Allport, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2018 at Windy Hill Village of Presbyterian Homes, Philipsburg.
Born March 28, 1927 in Morrisdale, she was the daughter of the late John and Stella Bell Lidgett. She was wed to the late Alexis A. Liptak.
Surviving are her daughter, Joyce Folmar and her husband, Gordon of Morrisdale and her son, Jerry Liptak and his wife, Bonnie of Grassflat.
Surviving are her grandchildren, Gordon Folmar and his wife, Kim, Kirsten Maguire and her husband, Chris, Norman Folmar, Christopher Folmar, Robert Liptak, Jennifer Liptak and Dennis Campbell.
Surviving are great-grandchildren, Dakotah Maguire, Andrew Maguire, Quentin Maguire, Nicholas Maguire, Carolyn Folmar, Ashley Folmar, Samantha Liptak, Jhenna Liptak and Madyson Liptak.
Also surviving are her brother, Howard Lidgett and his wife, Delores of Munson; her sisters-in-law, Mary Lidgett of Philipsburg and Tina Lidgett of New York; and several nieces and nephews. .
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded by her sisters, Irene Duttry and Alma Ryen and her brothers, Obdiah, Harmon, Joseph, Raymond, John, Sam, William, Jack and Wesley Lidgett Sr.
Mrs. Liptak was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Allport. She was a graduate of the Morris Township High School. She retired from Penn State in 1987.
She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and going to camp and fishing trips to Canada.
There will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be private, and burial will be in Allport Cemetery, Allport.
