CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners addressed various items of business at Tuesday’s regular meeting.
The commissioners:
- expressed disappointment with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s decision to approve the permit for a disposal injection well in Brady Township. Commissioner John. A. Sobel, chair, said the commissioners have opposed the well from day one and will continue to assist Highland Street Extension residents, if necessary. He said residents plan to initiate the appeals process and are also looking for an alternative source of water as many use private wells. Since the DEP’s decision, Sobel said the county hasn’t expended any funds on counsel for the matter.
