CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Area School District will be moving forward with the sale of two properties.
On Monday night, the school board approved for the district to accept the highest bid for its property on River Road. The property used to be the location of the district’s administrative offices and maintenance garage. It also has a modular building to the rear.
Secondly, the board approved the transfer of its property on Mill Road to Penn Highlands. The property was the location of the former Clearfield Middle School.
The board authorized the school administration and the solicitor to complete both property sales. The solicitor said the district was unable to release further information because the property sales are not final at this point.
In recent years, the district consolidated its school buildings into the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School, a 7-12 campus, and the Clearfield Area Elementary School, a K-6 campus.
It subsequently closed its other elementary and middle school buildings. The former middle school building was demolished.
The district also relocated its administrative offices to the CAJSHS campus and constructed a new maintenance facility there.
