Victor K. Mokulehua Jr., 86, of Curwensville died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born Aug. 26, 1931 in Honolulu, a son of the late Victor and Victoria (Kamalii) Mokulehua.
Mr. Mokulehua served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 22 years, retiring as a master sergeant.
He was then employed for 20 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He had also been employed as a butcher.
He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Curwensville; the Loyal Order of Moose; and the Curwensville American Legion Joshua Earl Sipes Post No. 505.
He is survived by his daughter, LaVeda Hicks and her husband, Norman ‘Wayne’ of Grampian; two grandchildren, Dr. Mitchell Hicks of Evanston, Ill., and Dr. Megan Nottingham and her husband, Christopher of Twinsburg, Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Hannah and Gabriel Hicks and Andrew Nottingham; and one sister, Rhoda Miller of Hawaii.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances L. ‘Fran’ (Turner) Mokulehua, on April 26, 2013.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence Mokulehua, Alvin Mokulehua and Leonard Mokulehua and five sisters, Elsie Tate, Linda Bugarin, Eloise Kim, Winona Payapaya and Loretta ‘Maude’ Payapaya.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville, is in charge of arrangements.
