Lorna M. Malloy, 90, of Clearfield died Monday, March 19, 2018 at her home.
She was born March 21, 1927 in Curwensville, a daughter of the late Norman and Ruth (Turner) Miller.
Mrs. Malloy was the co-owner and bookkeeper of Malloy’s True Value for 30 years, retiring Oct. 1, 1986.
She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, where she sang in the choir. She also belonged to the Rosary and Altar Society of the church.
She was a volunteer at the Clearfield Hospital and with the bloodmobile. She assisted with the election board for many years.
She is survived by three children, Cheryl M. Dixon and her husband, Howard and Michael P. Malloy and his wife, Debra, all of Clearfield, and Daniel J. Malloy and wife, Anita of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; four step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a brother, William H. Miller and his wife, Carol of Curwensville; seven nieces; two nephews; and two brothers-in-law, Tom Malloy and Glenn Daub.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Paul Malloy, on July 17, 2009 and to whom she was wed Oct. 26, 1946 in St. Timothy Catholic Church, Curwensville. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys M. Shope and R. Marlene Shapanus.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, with Msgr. Henry L. Krebs as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield. The rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
