Leadeth E. Mooney Prestash, 82, a resident of Westminster Village in Allentown and formerly of (Troy) RD Philipsburg, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital’s Allentown Campus.
Born May 31, 1935, in (Chester Hill Borough), RD Philipsburg, she was a daughter of Benjamin and Dorothy (Lobb) Barnes, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was a 1954 graduate of the former Battin High School in Elizabeth, NJ.
She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Hawk Run.
She was first married Nov. 7, 1954 to John Mooney, who preceded her in death in 1973. She was then married June 7, 1975 in Hawk Run to Albert W. Prestash, who also preceded her in death Aug. 2, 2010.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde Moore and Frank Barnes.
She is survived by a daughter, Winifred Rock and her husband, Donald of Phillipsburg, NJ; one son, J. Timothy Mooney and his wife, Maria (Novak) of Boalsburg; five grandchildren, Timothy J. Rock of Clinton, NJ, Donald B. Rock of Phillipsburg, NJ, Chelsea M. Mooney of Miami, Fla., and Mekaele E. Mooney and Mackenzie C. Mooney, both of Boalsburg; and numerous extended family members.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Hawk Run, with Fr. Peter Benyo officiating.
Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church Cemetery, Hawk Run.
