DUBOIS – Tickets are still available for the sixth annual Golden Gloves boxing competition in DuBois Saturday, March 24.
The event will be held at DuBois Country Club. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.; the boxing card will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The event is sponsored and hosted by the Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League.
The evening will feature approximately eight live bouts ranging from first-round to semi-final fights in various weight classes and divisions.

Proceeds benefit WPAL Fitness Center in DuBois, which offers completely free memberships to anyone between the ages of six and 18 years. It encourages law enforcement officials to work out in gyms free of charge.
WPAL is encourages youths to “believe in themselves” while emphasizing the importance of self-esteem, confidence, self-control and self-respect.
