Jeannine Ann Bowman, 87, of Curwensville died Thursday, March 8, 2018 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Born Oct. 12, 1930 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Thomas Bain and Sylvia Celeste (Thompson) Smith. Mrs. Bowman had been a homemaker.
She was a member of the Curwensville Alliance Church. She was a member of the GC Women’s Group and a “Prayer Warrior” praying for everybody and everything.
She loved her family, enjoyed dressing up and was well-known for her church hats. Her pastimes included swimming and walking.
On April 25, 1952, she wed Milford Walter Bowman, who preceded her in death Feb. 10, 2018.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Nancy Smith Sass; and two brothers, Faye E. and R.K. Smith. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are four children, Autumn Howell and her husband, Doug, Holly Bowman and Ashley Bowman, all of Curwensville, and Rhett Bowman of New Millport. Also surviving are five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
At the request of Mrs. Bowman, there will be no public visitation.
Private funeral services for Mrs. Bowman will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.
