State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about a Protection from Abuse order violation that occurred Feb. 22 on North Seventh Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 45-year-old man allegedly violated the order by being at a female’s residence.
Clearfield Borough
- Police assisted a motorist who had locked their keys inside their vehicle along Sheridan Drive.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male who had made threats about self-harm in the Daisy Street area. Police spoke to the male who was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.
- Police responded to a parking complaint along East Ninth Street and did not locate any violations.
- Police reported that a Chester Street resident was contacted via phone by a caller who was claiming to be from the IRS. They told the resident they were going to be arrested if they failed to provide funds. Police advised that the IRS will not contact anyone via phone and they would also like to remind residents not to give out personal information.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of medication on East Market Street.
- Police responded to a report about a female who was making threats to herself in the Reed Street area. Police spoke to the female who was then transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
- Police received a report that a male was receiving unwanted contact from a female via phone and social media.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment, which allegedly involved a female pushing another female. A charge of harassment is expected to be filed, police said.
- Police responded to a report for a vehicle versus pedestrian collision in the area of North Front and East Locust streets. No injuries were reported as a result.
- Police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint along Reed Street. However, the vehicle was gone prior to police arrival at the scene.
- Police handled a harassment complaint from an East Market Street resident.
- Police arrested a male who had an active warrant through Clearfield County Domestics on Daisy Street. He was taken into custody and to the jail on the warrant.
Lawrence Township
- On March 3, police conducted a traffic stop in the Super 8 Motel parking lot after a minor traffic violation. Upon making contacting with the occupants, police determined that one male was wanted through the Sheriff’s and Domestic Relations Offices. When he was being taken into custody, he was searched and allegedly in possession of brass knuckles, a prohibited offensive weapon. He was lodged in county jail on the warrants with charges to be filed in this incident.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of medication from a vehicle. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- While searching for a suspect involved in a domestic, a different male was observed by police and he was found to have active warrants through Centre County and Berks County Probation. Centre County officials wanted the male to be taken to the Clearfield County Jail for transfer to Centre County.
- Police received a report about a van, which was hauling a trailer, and losing empty cans on the roadway in the Maple Avenue area. Police were unable to locate the van and didn’t observe any cans.
- Police received a report about a tractor-trailer parked at DuBois Logistics. Police were advised the driver wouldn’t move it. When police made contact with the driver, he left the premises.
Sandy Township
- On Monday police received a report about a 59-year-old man who appeared to be intoxicated in the area of the Blinker Sheetz. He was located along the Blinker Parkway, and he told officers he was walking to his girlfriend’s house in DuBois. He also admitted to being intoxicated, police said. He was given a courtesy transport to his residence.
- Police reported that on Monday a truck driver hit the extended load of another truck while attempting to park in the Pilot lot. No injuries were reported as a result.
- On Monday police reported that a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Ohio man attempted to turn from the passing lane on state Route 219 into Sheetz and rear-ended a tractor-trailer that was in the right lane. The tractor-trailer driver did not realize the vehicle had impacted his truck until he left the area. The driver of the vehicle reported severe damage, but no injuries, police said.
- On Tuesday employees of Triangle Springs reported that they located money in their parking lot in December. Since no one had been looking for it, they turned it over to police.
- On Tuesday a 71-year-old Sabula woman reported she suspected a known woman was stealing her medication. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Tuesday a 60-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported that her son has been harassing her. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Tuesday a Brockway woman reported that her 16-year-old son’s vehicle was hit and damaged while it was parked at the DuBois Central Catholic School.
- On Tuesday police reported that a tractor-trailer driver attempted to do a 180-degree turn in the parking lot of Pilot and struck another truck that was parked there. No injuries and moderate damage were reported to police.
