State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Friday or Saturday on Knox Run Road in Morrisdale. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the victim’s mailbox. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at 814-857-3800.
- State police reported on a drug-related DUI that occurred Friday on U.S. Route 322 in Bradford Township. A Philipsburg male was allegedly driving after ingesting a controlled substance. He was also in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, state police say. Charges will be filed through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Saturday at an Oak Ridge Road residence in Knox Township. During the incident, someone was target shooting and allegedly struck the victim’s barn/shed at the rear of their property. - State police received a report about a burglary that occurred Feb. 22 on Six Mile Road in Decatur Township. During the incident, someone allegedly gained access to the victim’s residence and removed a safe. It’s believed they fled in a dark hunter green car. State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported on a drug-related incident that occurred Dec. 28, 2017 on Interstate 99 in Worth Township. During the incident, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle operated by a 21-year-old Tyrone woman, which resulted in a search. She was allegedly found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred Jan. 20 on Rusty Lane in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly removed approximately 50 gallons from the victim’s heating tank. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-342-3370.
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred between Nov. 1, 2017 and Feb. 2 at Halfmoon Valley Towing. During the incident, someone allegedly stole inspection and emission stickers.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred between Feb. 13 and Friday in the 1100 block of East Locust Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the victims’ vehicles, which were legally parked. State police say they used an object to scratch the driver’s side doors of the vehicles. - On Sunday state police responded to the Port Matilda Highway, west of East Mountain Road, where two dogs were running loose without any collars on. According to state police, one dog was black and white; the second one was mainly brown. The dogs were taken to the Clearfield County SPCA. The owner should contact the SPCA at 814-765-2220 to claim the dogs.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct that occurred Saturday on Route 119 in Young Township. During the incident, a 35-year-old man and the victim engaged in a verbal argument. He allegedly got angry and struck the victim’s windshield, causing it to crack. Charges were filed through the district court.
State police at Ridgway
- State police are warning people after receiving a report about a scam Sunday. According to state police, the victim was contacted by phone by a caller claiming to be with a software company. They reportedly told the victim their software needed to be updated on their computer. State police are advising residents not to provide any personal information and to research companies to make sure they are legitimate.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an incident of terroristic threats that occurred Sunday on Flegal Road. During the incident, police say a male made threats to either harm himself or another person. He was found at his residence and taken for a psychological evaluation without issue. Charges have been filed in the incident.
- Police reported on an incident of DUI that occurred Friday in the area of Washington Avenue and McPherson Street. According to police, a vehicle operated by a male driver was stopped after a traffic violation. Upon making contact with him, police detected signs of impairment. When field sobriety tests were conducted, the male allegedly showed signs of impairment, as well. He was taken into custody for suspected DUI and to Penn Highlands Clearfield. Police later released him to a sober person with charges pending laboratory results.
- Police conducted a warrant service Friday at Burger King. Officers located fugitive Gregory Lee Martell Jr., and he was taken into custody. Martell was subsequently housed in county jail.
- Police received a report about damage to unattended property that occurred Feb. 18 in the 1000 block of Mount Joy Road. According to police, a hit-and-run occurred on private property when an unknown driver stuck the victim’s flower bed, causing damage. The driver spun around and fled the scene in a blue Toyota truck that was newer.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about suspicious behavior on South Stockdale Street. During the incident, someone rang a resident’s doorbell twice and then took off. Police subsequently checked the area but were unable to locate anyone.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a female on West DuBois Avenue. Police made contact with her and found she was OK. She agreed to call the person concerned about her.
- Police were dispatched to a reported psychological emergency. The patient was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
- Police received a report about loud noises coming from the 100 block of South Franklin Street. Upon arrival, police spoke with female who explained that her son and his girlfriend had an argument, but everything was OK now. Police say the loud music was also turned off prior to their arrival.
- Police received a report about a female being harassed by her ex-husband in the 300 block of North Church Street. However, he fled the scene after realizing she was on the phone with 911. He had been harassing and stalking her, she told police. Police made contact with him and advised to cease contact with the victim.
- Police received a report about a tractor-trailer striking parked vehicles in a lot in the 800 block of Beaver Drive. Upon arrival, police found the tractor-trailer driver had exited and failed to lock his brakes. It then drifted into three parked vehicles and a business’ fence. Police made sure information was exchanged with those involved before clearing the scene.
- Police received a report about a tractor-trailer that collided with another tractor-trailer in the 800 block of Beaver Drive. Upon arrival, police assisted with the exchange of information.
- Police responded to a non-reportable accident on Shaffer Road. Upon arrival, police determined that the operator of a vehicle had backed into a parked vehicle at a business. Police assisted with the exchange of information.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief in the 300 block of South Avenue. Upon arrival, police found a front screen window was broken to a door on a residence. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
