State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime Wednesday or Thursday in Curwensville Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly vandalized the Grace Lutheran and Curwensville Christian churches with red and black spray paint. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Thursday at a Charles Street residence in Houtzdale Borough. During the incident, a 26-year-old man allegedly sent harassing text messages to the victim. Charges will be filed through the district court.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported on a drug-related incident that occurred Wednesday in Rush Township. Troopers responded to a residence where a male was cleaning a vehicle he had purchased in January. He located a clear bag of suspected cocaine and turned it over to state police.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Wednesday on Route 119 in Henderson Township. During the incident, someone allegedly slashed a hole in the victim’s tire. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle along North Second Street that could be involved in illegal drug activity. Upon arrival, police found the vehicle had left the scene.
- Police received a report about a vehicle damaged on Ogden Avenue. However, police found it had a faulty battery and was not damaged.
- Police investigated a minor accident along South Second Street. According to police, one vehicle backed into another, causing minor damage. No injuries were reported as a result.
- Police responded to a parking complaint on East Eighth Street. Police were able to resolve the situation at the scene.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment by communication. Police were able to speak to the parties involved and handle the incident.
- Police initiated a vehicle stop along Bridge Street and determined the passenger had an active warrant through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office. The male was arrested and allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana. He was transported to the jail by police.
- Police are investigating the alleged theft of a chainsaw and pole trimmer from a garage along South Second Street.
Lawrence Township
- While investigating a burglary Feb. 17, police spoke with a Valley View Drive resident. Police were attempting to locate another male – Justin Jordan – who was wanted in a theft case and a suspect in the burglary. The male denied having any knowledge of Jordan’s location. He also denied that Jordan was inside his residence. Police say Jordan was apprehended Thursday after which officers conducted an interview in reference to multiple reports. Jordan allegedly admitted to being in the male’s Valley View Drive residence Jan. 17 while he was speaking with the police. A charge for hindering apprehension or prosecution is pending at this time.
- Police conducted a warrant service Thursday on McPherson Street. According to police, a wanted male was reportedly in the Hyde area and trying to avoid officers. However, police were able to locate the male and he was taken into custody on an active warrant through the state police. He was subsequently housed in county jail to await arraignment.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident Thursday in the parking lot at Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub. According to police, an elderly male driver traveled off the roadway and into a retaining wall belonging to Denny’s Pub. Towing services assisted at the scene.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft involving a teacher that occurred Feb. 14 at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center. Upon investigation, police “found the theft to be credible.”
