State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault and harassment that occurred Wednesday at a Sylvan Grove Road residence in Cooper Township. During the incident, a 41-year-old Drifting man and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation. It allegedly turned physical when he punched and slapped her in the face, causing her front tooth to break/chip. The man was taken to county jail Thursday to await arraignment.
- State police reported on a drug-related DUI that occurred Tuesday in the 900 block of Front Street in Decatur Township. During their investigation, state police found a State College female had operated a vehicle after inhibiting a controlled substance. She was allegedly in possession of meth, un-prescribed medications, an illegal firearm, suspected stolen property and paraphernalia. State police found a Morrisdale male had outstanding warrants and was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending the District Attorney’s approval.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred Monday or Tuesday in a parking area along Route 153 in Huston Township. During the incident, someone allegedly cut a padlock from a cable and removed a generator and a plastic gas tank. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-371-4652.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an alleged protection from abuse order violation that occurred Feb. 6 on Loch Lomond Road in Rush Township. As a result, a known 47-year-old man was taken into custody without incident and put in the Centre County Jail.
- State police reported on a drug incident that occurred Wednesday on Route 53 near its intersection with Ninth Street in Decatur Township. According to state police, a vehicle operated by a 47-year-old Winburne man was stopped for multiple traffic violations. He was allegedly found in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.
State police at Ridgway
- State police investigated a fire that occurred Wednesday at the Lutheran Fellowship Church, located on Pine Street, in Curwensville Borough. State police say a fire was set on the exterior and it was incendiary in nature. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police fire marshal at 814-776-6136 or the Curwensville Borough police.
Sandy Township
- Police responded to a 911 hang-up call Monday at a school district building on Sones Road. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Police responded to a report about a woman who appeared to be under the influence, pounding on car windows Tuesday at the Falls Creek Sheetz. Upon arrival, officers located the 33-year-old DuBois woman who admitted to being under the influence and who refused medical treatment. She was released to her parents.
- On Tuesday Kepple Auto Sales employees reported that someone removed the four-wheel drive assembly from the front tires of a vehicle that was for sale on their lot.
- On Tuesday police received a report about a physical domestic disturbance at a South Brady Street residence. During the incident, a 60-year-old woman was allegedly injured by a 22-year-old woman who had engaged in an argument with her 27-year-old boyfriend in the apartment. Police say the woman also damaged items and injured her boyfriend before fleeing the scene. Charges are currently pending at this time.
DuBois City
- Police were dispatched to an alarm at Hovis. While en route, the key holder advised it was a false alarm and cancelled police assistance.
- Police received a report about a possible PFA violation. Upon arrival, police determined there wasn’t any violation and the male who was in question wasn’t at the residence.
- Police received a report about an audible alarm on McCracken Run Road. A passerby contacted County Control after hearing the alarm and while en route, police were advised it had been deactivated. Upon arrival, police found the building was secured.
