James C. Lombardo, 87, of Osceola Mills died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield.
Born Aug. 22, 1930 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Joseph and Nancy Sue (Magestro) Lombardo.
He married Betsy L. (Faughner) Lombardo on March 2, 1957 in Osceola Mills. She survives at home.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Moshannon Valley Council No. 2250 in Osceola Mills; the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks and Country Club No. 1173 in Philipsburg; and the AMVETS Post No. 159 in Philipsburg.
He was retired from the Penn State University maintenance department. He was a 1948 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Philip Lombardo.
Along with his wife, he is survived by one son, James J. Lombardo and his wife, Tina of Osceola Mills; a twin sister, Mary L. Motter of Philipsburg; two grandchildren, James Lee Lombardo and his wife, Julie and Nathan Lombardo; and three great-grandchildren, Aida Sponseller, Espyn Lombardo and Italia Lombardo.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22 at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC in Osceola Mills, with Deacon Dennis Socash officiating. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. Thursday until the service time.
