MEN’S SWIMMING
GROVE CITY — Junior Michael Spencer (Clearfield) earned 42 points in three individual events and was a member of two relay teams that finished second to help the Westminster Titans edge past Grove City for their fourth consecutive Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships title last weekend.
The Titans amassed 908 points, five more than the host Wolverines.
Spencer touched fourth in the 100-yard freestyle in 47.60 seconds after lowing his personal record ton 47.41 in the prelims, tied for fourth in the 50 free in 21.79 and sixth in the 100 butterfly in 52.31, which tied his PR he set as a freshman.
In the relays, he logged a 21.10 second leg for the 200 free foursome that posted a 1:23.66 time and led off with a 47.44 split for the 400 free quartet that clinched the championship with a school-record 3:06.32 effort.
Spencer was joined on the record-setting foursome by senior Mitch Stahara, junior David Feffer and sophomore Matt Kwalick.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
GREENSBURG — Sophomore Cody Spaid (Clearfield) averaged 6.5 rebounds to share the Pitt-Greensburg lead for the 2017-18 season.
The 6-7 center/forward totaled 85 boards in 13 games, including 11 starts.
He scored 98 points for a 7.5 average that was fifth for the Bobcats, who finished 5-13 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference and 7-17 overall.
Spaid also wound up with 21 steals, 16 blocks and five assists.
His two-season totals are 269 points, 225 rebounds, 41 assists, 36 blocks and 16 steals.

DUBOIS — Sophomore center Trey Rauckhorst (Curwensville) topped Penn State DuBois with 17 blocks and scored 97 points in 24 games, while sophomore guard Caleb Strouse tallied five in 11 games.
The Lions ended the 2017-18 season 10-15 and eighth in the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference at 7-9.
Rauckhorst tied for fourth on the team with 94 rebounds, was credited with seven assists and made two steals.
Strouse had five rebounds, one assist and one steal.
Strouse was the Penn State DuBois recipient of the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award, which goes to the student-athlete on every PSUAC team in every sport who demonstrates good sportsmanship in that he or she displays ethical, appropriate, polite and fair behavior while participating in athletic events, according to the release PSUAC athletic website.
The individual shall exemplify the Penn State Values (integrity, responsibility, excellence, respect, discovery and community).
