CLEARFIELD – Stephen Smith was recently hired as the physical security manager for CNB Bank brands in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York, announced Joseph B. Bower Jr., CNB Bank president and chief executive officer.
Smith will be working primarily in the bank’s main office located in Clearfield.
In this newly-created position, Smith’s primary responsibilities will be to ensure the safety of bank customers and employees and to protect the assets of the bank.
Smith will oversee the installation of security equipment for new branch projects and update the equipment in existing locations.
He will also coordinate with the Information Technology department to guarantee that all components of security are working together to maintain a safe environment for customers.
Smith has more than 13 years of experience in corrections. Before joining the CNB Bank team, he served as deputy warden of security and operations at both the Clearfield County Jail and the Warren County Prison.
He also served for six years in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
“Stephen’s background in corrections made him a natural fit for the new Physical Security Manager position,” Bower said.
“He will be diligent in providing excellent physical security for our customers and employees, while working with our Training Department to make sure that present and future employees understand the importance of physical security.”
Smith is a 2000 graduate of Fairview High School and will graduate from Columbia Southern University this year with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration/finance.
Smith currently resides in DuBois with his wife, Jo Anne and his children, Katelyn, Addison, Teagan and Grayson.
