Rebecca N. Linsenbigler, 95, of Clearfield died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018 at her home.
Mrs. Linsenbigler was born Dec. 28, 1922, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Carr and Frances Irene (Shearer) Carr.
She was a graduate of the Clearfield High School. Mrs. Linsenbigler retired from Strattan Motor Co., as a bookkeeper.
She was a member of the Centre Grove United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two children, Barbara L. Linsenbigler of Clearfield and David A. Linsenbigler of Curwensville; three grandchildren, Mark Linsenbigler and his wife, Wendy, Corey Linsenbigler and his wife, Marla and Casey Linsenbigler and his wife, Amanda; four great-grandchildren, Curtis, Erica, Jersey and Rece Linsenbigler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Linsenbigler was the last member of her generation. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold L. Linsenbigler, who died Feb. 24, 1996; her son, Gerald Linsenbigler; two sisters, Florence Kane and Mary Lou Carruthers; and three brothers, Freeman, Benjamin and William Carr.
Honoring Mrs. Linsenbigler’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. M. Bruce Dimmick officiating. Burial will be in Centre Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Centre Grove United Methodist Church, 1100 Village Rd., Clearfield, PA 16830 or the Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library, 1 S. Front St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
