Donald J. “DJ” Tatters, 31, of Philipsburg died Feb. 9, 2018, at UPMC Presbyterian Pittsburgh.
He was born July 3, 1986 in Philipsburg, a son of Donald A. Tatters, who preceded him in death, and Sheryl L. (Zimbro) Pritchard and her husband, Terry F. Pritchard.
He is survived by his fiancée, Rachael L. Veliky; twin children, Melody B. and Ryan P. Tatters; and two daughters, Jordyn A. and Charlotte L. Mantz, at home.
He is also survived by a sister, Brenda G. Reader and her husband, Jason D. Reader of Houtzdale; a brother, Bryan J. Tatters of Philipsburg; a nephew, Dominic A. Reader of Houtzdale; Rachael’s sister, Estelle Bowman and her husband, William H. Bowman III and their sons, William Bowman, IV and Parker R. Velicky, all of Osceola Mills; and Rachael’s brother, Jonathan Velicky of Philipsburg.
He attended the Philipsburg–Osceola Area High School. Following high school, he had been employed as a general laborer.
He enjoyed several hobbies in his spare time; however, he was most notably known as an avid gamer.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg.
There will be a Celebration of Life for family and close friends from 7:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. led by Alan and Amber Harris at the funeral home.
