State police at Clearfield

• State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Sunday on Main Street in Bradford Township. During the incident, a couple allegedly stole $700 cash from a homeowner after given a roof over their head due to being homeless. Charges were filed through the district court as a result.

State police at Philipsburg

• State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred between June 1, 2017 and Feb. 8 on Peppermint Lane in Huston Township. During the incident, someone allegedly wrote on a door with a permanent marker.
• State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Friday on Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 42-year-old Philipsburg woman allegedly slapped the victim in the face. She was cited for the incident as a result.

State police at Punxsutawney

• State police received a report about a domestic disturbance that occurred Feb. 8 on Heathville Ohl Road in Beaver Township. Upon arrival, it was found that a 29-year-old Summerville man, Andrew J. Birch, was arguing and fighting with family members. He allegedly didn’t comply with troopers’ commands to cease and desist after being taken into custody. He was subsequently charged with resisting arrest and harassment; Birch was housed in the Jefferson County Jail.
• State police received a report about an incident of endangering the welfare of children Dec. 8, 2017 on Marvin Street in Bell Township. A juvenile female was allegedly living in unsafe conditions. Charges are currently pending through the district court.

State police at Ridgway

• State police received a report about an incident of criminal trespass that occurred Feb. 8 at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Fox Township. During the incident, a 38-year-old St. Marys woman allegedly entered the store after being advised in writing twice that she’s not privileged to. She was charged through the district court.

Clearfield Borough

• A known female arrived at the police station and turned herself in on active warrants
• Police are investigating an alleged retail theft that occurred at Bob’s Army & Navy store. The incident is still under investigation.
• Police responded to a vehicle accident involving an ATA bus on North Second Street. There were not any injuries reported as a result.
• Police received a report about a theft at Ethan’s Café. During the incident, an unknown male and his child left the restaurant without paying for their meal. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
• Police investigated a report about the alleged theft of medications.
• Police investigated a reported harassment and terroristic threats incident. Officers filed charges against a Glen Richey man as a result.
• Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on East Pine Street near Cemetery Road. It remains under investigation at this time.
• Police are currently investigating a report about criminal mischief at the Swish Swash Laundromat on Daisy Street.
• Police responded to a parking complaint on East Eighth Street. There weren’t any violations observed by officers.

Lawrence Township

• Police responded to a one-vehicle accident Monday on the Rockton Mountain Highway. The driver, Lester Hudson, lost control on the icy roadway and struck a utility pole. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was driven from the scene.
• Police responded to an accident Sunday in the area of Fullerton Street and Washington Avenue. According to police, the driver missed the sharp turn and wrecked their vehicle into the tree line. Police say the driver got out and took off running toward the station; however, he was gone upon arrival. Upon further investigation, police towed the vehicle from the scene, and the driver admitted to his involvement. He was cited for careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
• Police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct Feb. 7 on Larson Road. According to police, it stemmed from an ongoing neighbor dispute and a male entering the victim’s driveway to confront him about the manner he plowed snow. The male allegedly grabbed and pulled the victim before leaving the scene. Both males called the police; citations are currently pending for disorderly conduct, defiant trespass and harassment.
• Police responded to a report about a disorder and unauthorized use of a motorcycle at a Kerr Avenue residence. Upon arrival, police made contact with the male suspect who was parking the motorcycle in the driveway. The victim, however, declined to file charges for the unauthorized use. While speaking with the male, police suspected he was under the influence of controlled substances. He was subsequently housed in county jail on a 48-hour detainer, and DUI charges are pending at this time.
• Police responded to an accident Sunday at the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop. According to police, a tractor-trailer slid in the icy parking area and became stuck. A second tractor-trailer attempted to exit via the same route when it slid into the first tractor-trailer. It also became stuck. Damage was minor, but a tow truck responded to remove the tractor-trailers from the icy roadway.
• Police reported on a drug-related DUI that occurred Friday on the Clearfield-Shawville Highway at Sheetz. According to police, a male was passed out inside a running vehicle. Upon arrival, police determined he was slumped over and not conscious. When police woke the male, it was found he was apparently under the influence of a controlled substance. He was also found in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody for suspected DUI, and charges are currently pending at this time.
• Police received a report about a hit-and-run Feb. 9 in the parking lot of the Edgewood Apartments. According to police, a female said that a vehicle hit hers while it was parked in the lot. She indicated that there was minor damage to the right, front fender area on the passenger’s side. Anyone with information is asked to contact township police.
• Police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct Feb. 9 on Woodland Road. According to police, there was a dispute over a neighbor playing loud music and making unreasonable noise to the degree that it was disturbing the peace.  Police advised a female to keep the noise down and left her off with a warning. She was advised that if the noise continued, she would be arrested. Police cleared the scene without further incident.
• Police received a report about a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred Feb. 7 on Turnpike Avenue. During the incident, someone allegedly took multiple items with a combined value of more than $500 from a vehicle parked in a driveway. Police say the stolen items included a pair of Michael Kors sunglasses and a heartbeat necklace that was missing a diamond.

DuBois City

• Police received a report about an assault at an establishment in the 300 block of West DuBois Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, the owner advised there hadn’t been an assault and two males had only caused a disturbance. The owner refused prosecution against the males.
• Police conducted a traffic stop for violations that occurred on Maple Avenue. Upon investigation, it was found a 26-year-old DuBois man was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for suspected DUI and transported to the hospital for a blood draw. Charges are currently pending against the man at this time.
• Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief in the 600 block of West Weber Avenue. During the incident, someone allegedly threw a snowball through the lower pane glass in a door window, causing it to bust.
• Police received a report about a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of Chestnut Avenue. Upon arrival, police found it was only verbal in nature between a husband and wife. Both decided to stay away from each other until they could communicate civilly.
• Police received a report about two male juveniles who ran away from the 300 block of Daly Street. Upon arrival, police gathered information; however, the juveniles returned on their own.
• Police received a report about an incident of retail theft in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. During the incident, a 45-year-old Grampian woman allegedly stole a $5.25 candle pack from the business. She will be charged for the incident as a result.
• Police were requested to check the welfare of a tractor-trailer driver who had been parked in a lot for a couple of days in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. Upon arrival, police determined that everything was OK.
• Police received a report about a retail theft in the 100 block of North Main Street. During the incident, a female juvenile allegedly stole a hoodie worth $5.49. She will be charged with the incident as a result.
• Police conducted a traffic stop along South Brady Street. As a result, a 29-year-old DuBois woman was allegedly found with a small amount of drugs. Charges are currently pending at this time.
• Police received a report about a fight at a business in the 100 block of North Brady Street. Upon arrival, police spoke with the victim who refused prosecution in the incident. Police subsequently cleared the scene.
• Police received a report about an altercation that occurred at a business in the 100 block of North Brady Street. Upon arrival, the victim told police that a known male entered the store and started to assault him. Police say the victim defended himself and the suspect fled the scene. The victim refused prosecution in the incident.
• Police were requested to contact a female whose vehicle was struck by another one while it was parked at a business in the 600 block of Liberty Boulevard. Police say this hit-and-run is under further investigation.
• Police received a report about a verbal domestic dispute in the 400 block of Maple Avenue. Upon arrival, police spoke with a female who said she had engaged in an argument with her boyfriend and he left the residence.
