The Rev. Lloyd C. McClarren, 91, of West Decatur died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Born Dec. 4, 1926, he was the son of the late Maynard and Hazel (Williams) McClarren.
He was married to Evelyn (Smeal) Undercofler McClarren on Feb. 14, 1995 at the Ohio United Methodist Church. She survives at home.
He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in West Decatur.
He had formerly been an agricultural teacher. He was also a retired United Methodist minister.
He was a graduate of the former Philipsburg High School in the class of 1944.
He graduated from the Penn State University in 1951 and from the Evangelical School of Theology in 1965. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane (Schucker) McClarren; his second wife, the Rev. Eleanor (Diggs) McClarren; one daughter, Linda Lee; one son, Dennis McClarren; one sister, Mabel Hampton; and three brothers, Ottis, Leo and Harold “Skip” McClarren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sisters, Betty Nester and her husband, Al of Lamar, Joy Foster and her husband, Donald of West Decatur and Shirley Dively and her husband, Robert of State College and one brother, Ralph McClarren and his wife, Jean of West Decatur.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Salem United Methodist Church in West Decatur, with Pastor Michael Knepp officiating.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
