Frederick W. Heidkamp, 73, of DuBois died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 at the Jefferson Manor Health Center in Brookville.
Born Feb. 7, 1944 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Frederick “Boyce” and Kathryn (Curley) Heidkamp.
He married Susan (Smith) Heidkamp. She preceded him in death Aug. 15, 2003.
He retired as contractor in the DuBois area after many years of service.
He loved to fish, take care of all the stray cats in the neighborhood and ride his bike. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He is survived by a daughter, Erin Rowles and her husband, Adam of Clearfield; a step-son, Thomas Hanley of DuBois; a sister, Dorothy Van Ryan of Pittsburgh; and five grandchildren, Tyanne and Hayden Miles and Kinsley, Alaura and Devin Rowles.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne, Dennis and Carl Heidkamp and a sister, Eileen Keller.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. with Pastor Terry Felt officiating.
