State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred Friday on Merrell Road in Girard Township. According to state police, a Madera teen and two unknown males drove the victim to a wooded area. They allegedly removed his cellular phone and wallet and then struck him with a firearm and their hands and feet. State police say they left the victim there, and he sustained minor to moderate injuries. State police have charged the teen with simple assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, harassment and other summaries. State police at DuBois
- State police reported on a DUI crash that occurred Monday on Route 119 in Sykesville Borough. When contact was made with the driver, state police allegedly could detect an odor of burnt marijuana and alcohol evident on the 21-year-old DuBois man. He was subsequently arrested for DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia and summary traffic offenses, which are pending blood test results.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Friday at the Philipsburg-Osceola High School. During the incident, a juvenile allegedly struck another juvenile.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief that occurred Jan. 21-22 at a Stifflertown Road residence in Burnside Township. During the incident, someone allegedly fired at the victim’s vehicle and residence with a BB gun. No injuries were reported to state police. - State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Sunday at a Pansy Hollow Road residence in Beaver Township. During an argument, a 21-year-old Summerville man allegedly threw a DVD case at the victim, which caused a small red mark on her lower back. Charges were filed through the district court.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Friday at Wal-Mart in St. Marys. During the incident, a 29-year-old St. Marys woman allegedly took 17 items, which were worth $75.51, from the store. Charges are currently pending against the woman for the incident.
- State police reported on an incident of DUI that occurred Saturday on Toby Road in Fox Township. A vehicle driven by a 67-year-old Kersey man was stopped for a traffic violation. He was allegedly found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol. Charges were filed through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded after Lawrence Township police had a male on a vehicle stop along Route 879. Police say he held an active warrant, which he was able to resolve.
- Police received a report about tires that were damaged on South Fourth Street. Police found that the tires were not damaged and in need of replacement.
- Police arrested a male along Krebs Avenue because he held an active warrant. He was also allegedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with a domestic disturbance along Coal Hill Road.
- Police were contacted regarding a juvenile female who reportedly ran away. She returned home while police were searching for her.
- Police received a trespassing complaint on South Fourth Street. However, police found the male had the owner’s permission to be on the property.
- Police assisted emergency personnel and the fire department with a medical incident along NW Fourth Avenue.
Lawrence Township
- Police reported on a traffic stop that resulted in a DUI on Saturday on Route 879 near Sheetz in Lawrence Township. Upon making contact with the driver, he was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol. It resulted in police obtaining a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending laboratory test results.
- Police conducted a DUI roving patrol in conjunction with the county’s DUI Strike Force from Saturday night into Sunday morning. Police made 17 traffic stops, which resulted in two DUIs, one drug-related arrest and 12 summary traffic arrests; they also gave seven warnings. Police say an additional traffic stop resulted in the capture of a wanted person for a felony warrant.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident Sunday on the Krebs Highway near Firetower Road in Lawrence Township. According to police, a driver lost control of their vehicle due to poor road conditions. Their vehicle impacted an embankment and overturned. The driver wasn’t injured in the accident; a child passenger sustained minor injuries. Police say both were using the proper safety restraints.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about an attempted fraud incident. According to police, a resident was contacted by an unknown caller who claimed to be with the government. She was warned she’d be arrested if she didn’t make a payment.
- Police received a report about suspicious activity on North Jared Street. According to police, two people were located at the rear of an apartment building, and they were knocking loudly to make contact with a friend. Police subsequently cleared the scene.
- Police received a report about an activated alarm at a business on North Franklin Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with employees who were attempting to shut off the alarm.
- Police received a report about an activated alarm at Timberland Federal Credit Union. Upon arrival, police found it was accidentally set off by an employee.
- Police received a report about an activated business alarm in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. Upon arrival, police made contact with the employee who had accidentally set it off.
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of North Second Street. Police found two people had engaged in a verbal argument, and say it caused the neighbors to become concerned.
- Police received a report about a female attempting to get into a vehicle in the 300 block of Evergreen Street. She was last seen walking on Quarry Avenue towards Main Street. However, police were unable to locate her; no damage was reported to the vehicle.
- Police received a report about an injured deer in the area of Hoover Avenue and Jeffers Street. Officers observed deer in the brush, and the herd appeared to be moving without any distress.
- Police received a report about an activated business alarm on DuBois Street. Upon arrival, police found the building was secured and they cleared the scene without incident.
- Police received a report about an open door at a business on West Long Avenue. When police contacted the owner, they were advised a cleaning crew was inside.
- Police received a report about suspicious activity on South Franklin Street. When police made contact with the caller, they advised that there weren’t any fresh footprints around the building in the snow.
