SNOW SHOE – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is advising motorists that the rest area on Interstate 80 eastbound near Snow Shoe in Centre County has reopened.
The westbound and eastbound rest areas were closed in mid-January after the Mountaintop Regional Water Authority required customers to conserve water due to a supply shortage.
The westbound rest area re-opened last week, with the eastbound rest area re-opening around 9 a.m. Wednesday. PennDOT thanks I-80 travelers for their patience during these inconvenient closures.
