LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – A 33-year-old Clearfield man was jailed after being accused of threatening a female and police on Monday night, Lawrence Township police say.
According to the report, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a Valley View Drive residence. A male was in possession of a gun and had allegedly threatened a female.
Police were also alerted to the fact that the male knew they were en route. Police say he had threatened to shoot officers upon their arrival to the scene.
Upon arrival, police were able to take the male into custody; he was put in county jail to await arraignment due to his intoxication. They also located several guns inside the residence.
The male is facing charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and disorderly conduct.
Clearfield Borough police and Clearfield-based state police assisted with handling the incident.
