DUBOIS – A 35-year-old DuBois man suffered possible life-threatening injuries after a stabbing Friday night, DuBois City Police Chief Blaine Clark told GANT News partner WJAC-TV.
The incident was reported at approximately 6 p.m. at a residence in the 600 block of Chestnut Avenue in DuBois.
The man’s girlfriend – a 50-year-old DuBois woman – allegedly stabbed him multiple times during a “domestic-related” incident.
According to Clark, the man sought help from a neighbor. He said the neighbor was a doctor and able to stabilize him before emergency personnel’s arrival.
The woman – who was unidentified in an online police report – was located and taken into custody.
Police have filed charges against the woman. She was subsequently taken to county jail to await arraignment.
Clark said the man is being treated for his injuries.
