Richard L. Tubo, 70, of Alum Bank, Pa., and formerly of Philipsburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at his home.
Born Aug. 14, 1947 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Louis and Grace (Greenaway) Tubo.
He married Lorraine (Busch) Tubo on Oct. 7, 2007 in Bedford. She survives at home.
He was previously married to Dalene (Chieppor) Tubo on Feb. 14, 1976 in Philipsburg. She preceded him in death Feb. 28, 2006.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Philipsburg.
He was a retired supervisor for highway construction and bridge work.
He was a member of the Osceola Lodge No. 515 Free & Accepted Masons of which he was the worshipful master in 1982 and secretary from December of 1983 until December of 2008.
He was the Pennsylvania Grand Lodge’s regional instructor for Region 6 from December of 1997 until January of 2013 and the Region 3 instructor from January of 2013 until his death.
He was also a member of the Altoona Consistory and the Jaffa Shrine. He was a 1965 graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jack Turbo.
Along with his second wife, he is survived by two daughters, Krista R. Etchison of Raleigh, NC and Nicole Tubo and her fiancé, John Watkins of Howard and two step-daughters, Jodie Tomko and her husband, Andy of New Paris, Pa., and Amy Lindner and her fiancé, Adam Ortega of Bedford.
He’s also survived by two brothers, Donald Tubo and his wife, Phebe of Niagara Falls, NY and Melvin Tubo and his wife, Lois of Fort Pierce, Fla., and four grandchildren, Mya Etchison, Khloe Etchison, Aidan Miller and Evelyn Miller.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills with the Rev. Brenda Leigey officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Also, a Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
