Levoy M. (Lytle) Barger, 95, of Clearfield died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born Nov. 14, 1922 in Bigler, she was a daughter of the late Arnold L. Lytle and Bessie M. (Lansberry) Lytle.
She worked for Dr. McClure-Gilmore as an assistant lab technician for 10 years.
Mrs. Barger attended the Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Clearfield.
She was a former member of the Bradford Grange 1219, Glad Tidings Assembly of God Joy Fellowship Senior Ministry and the Hobby Garden Club.
She loved to craft, including quilting, sewing and crocheting.
She’s survived by three sons, Charles W. Barger and his wife, Dorothy of Lake Worth, Fla., Arnold W. Barger of Milesburg and Wilbur G. Barger and his wife, Karen of Woodland and one daughter, Michele L. Solomon McCormack and her husband, John “Jack” of Clearfield.
She’s survived by four grandchildren, Terri Gamber, Michael Solomon, Melinda Solomon and Robert Barger; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She’s also survived by three sisters, Dorothy Shoffner of Grassflat, Rosalie Buck of Woodland and Rosella Martin of Philipsburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles W. “Wes” Barger, to whom she was married Nov. 21, 1941 in the Woodland EUB Church and who died May 28, 2006.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lee and Bernard Lytle; three sisters, Esther Knee, Norma Milligan and Kay Stiner; two grandchildren, Paul Barger and Peter Barger; and a son-in-law, Mead D. Solomon.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. Stephen DeSantis officiating. Burial will be at Bradford Cemetery.
Friends and family are invited to the funeral home from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday with the funeral services following.
