COMMODORE — The Clearfield Area High School boys basketball team advanced to the finals of the Purchase Line Lions Club Christmas Tournament by breezing past Harmony 73-31 Thursday evening.
Reese Wilson registered a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Cade Walker came close with a team-high 16 points and eight boards to pace the Bison.
They stampeded to a 45-15 halftime cushion en route to their third win in five games.
“It was nice having most of our team healthy for the first time, and the kids played hard and played really unselfish,” Clearfield coach Nate Glunt said. “We had the fewest turnovers (four) we’ve had the whole season.”
The Bison outrebounded the Owls 36-19 and created 17 steals, with Walker, Ryan Chew and Taye Lynch having three apiece. Chew also had three assists to go with eight points.
Michael Koblosky was high for Harmony (2-4) with 16 points.
Clearfield will play Purchase Line (5-2) in Friday’s championship game at 7:30 p.m.
The Red Dragons outclassed Morgantown (W.Va.) Christian Academy (2-5) 78-48 in the nightcap
