Charles R. Shiner, 79, of DuBois died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at his residence.
Born Oct. 12, 1938, in Bethlehem, Pa., he was a son of the late Morris and Catherine (Snyder) Shiner.
He served in the U.S. Army and worked for 35 years for Flagg Steel Triangle Spring of DuBois.
He married the former Ruth M. Pugh, and she preceded him in death Feb. 15, 1997.
Mr. Shiner is survived by six children, David Shiner, Richard Ziolko, Stacey Albert and Lucille Moore and her husband, Jeffrey, all of DuBois; Patty Bailey and her husband, Scott of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Ruth Antonelle of Dallas, Texas.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren as well as three siblings, David, Morris and Dolores.
In additions to his parents and wife, Mr. Shiner was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Lalueza and five siblings.
There will be no public visitation and services will be held private by the family. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
The Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium Inc., is in charge of the arrangements.
