OSCEOLA MILLS – Fr. William Walker and members of St. Laurence Episcopal Church in Osceola Mills gather around a model of the church built by the late Jack Ashworth of Osceola and recently restored by Fr. Robert McKay of DuBois.
The model, with exact reproductions of the church’s stained glass windows, is on loan from the Osceola Mills Historical Society.
“We’re planning to feature this beautiful creation beside the manger scene for our Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. on Dec. 24,” says Walker.
“We hope that anyone seeking a home for Christmas Eve will think of us. There will be special music by church organist Luther Gette and flautist Paula Williams Hutton, and following the service, a reception with cider and cookies in the Church Hall.”
