Melva A. Odrosky, 92, of Clearfield and formerly of West Decatur, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 at Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born March 19, 1925 in Curwensville, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Rose (Joy) Mays. She was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church.
She was employed at Short Way Products in Clearfield until her retirement.
She was a caring homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also liked taking quiet walks.
She is survived by two daughters, Doroth Odrosky of Columbus, Ohio and Patricia Hess of Clearfield and a son, Dennis (Jody) Odroskey of Houtzdale.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Justin Strickland, Anthony Odrosly, Alexis (Justin) Craven, Renee Hess, Jonathan Odrosky and Andrew Odrosky.
She was the last of her generation.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph L Odrosky, on Oct. 7, 1999; two brothers, Charles and Roy Mays; two sisters, June McBride and Dorothy Rummings; and a great-grandson, Joseph E. Odrosky.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
