CLEARFIELD – Lawrence Township police made 81 vehicle contacts and issued eight seatbelt citations during a recent “Click It or Ticket’ Enforcement from Nov. 20 through Dec. 3.
Police joined more than 250 other law enforcement agencies in the effort to increase seatbelt use and to reduce the number of unbelted injuries and deaths.
“Wearing your seatbelt is your best defense against injury or death in the event of a crash,” police said. “A seatbelt increases your chances of surviving a crash by up to 60 percent.”
