State police at DuBois
- Brian James Barr, 42, failed to register under the requirements of Megan?s Law when he left Just for Jesus on Sept. 7. More specifically, he failed to register his new address within three business days. State police say a warrant has been issued for Barr, who was last known to be in the Pittsburgh area. Anyone with information is asked to contact the DuBois barracks at 814-371-4652.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred between Nov. 3 and Friday on Miller Road in Mahaffey. During the incident, someone allegedly stole 59 Oxycodone tablets from a UPS package. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred Monday on Keller Road in Fox Township. During the incident, a 32-year-old Brockport man allegedly caused injuries to the victim?s knees. State police are continuing their investigation, and charges will be filed through the district court.
Lawrence Township
- Police conducted a warrant service after a person came into contact with Curwensville Borough police during a traffic stop.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft that occurred at a local business on Route 879.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Wrigley Street. Upon investigation, police found a male operator was allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance. He was subsequently housed in county jail and will be charged with DUI.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle in the area of South Second Street. Police were able to make contact and found there wasn?t any criminal activity.
Sandy Township
- On Friday police received a report about a suspicious vehicle at the old store in Sabula. Upon further investigation, it was found that a 41-year-old Emporium woman was driving with her 42-year-old husband and a child when they experienced mechanical troubles and pulled off to call for a ride. Upon speaking to the pair, officers allegedly detected a smell of marijuana. The pair confessed to having marijuana and paraphernalia and it was confiscated by officers.
- On Saturday a 21-year-old Treasure Lake man lost control of his vehicle while traveling on Coral Reef Road. As a result, it left the road, hit a tree and came to a rest on its roof. Upon failing field sobriety testing, the man was taken to Penn Highlands for a legal blood draw. No injuries were reported, the vehicle was towed from the scene and charges are pending.
- Police received a report about an intoxicated male who was making a nuisance of himself at Taco Bell on Saturday. Officers located the 40-year-old DuBois man and he was taken to county jail on a 48-hour detainer.
- Treasure Lake Security reported an open door at an empty residence Saturday. Upon further investigation, it was determined there wasn?t any foul play.
- On Sunday a man was attempting to pull out of Wendy?s. However, when he attempted to back up due to being in the way of traffic, he hit a vehicle driven by a 64-year-old DuBois woman. Minor damage and no injuries were reported to police.
