“We are proud to support and serve our community’s veterans in a number of ways, including offering physical rehabilitation services as a viable alternative to out-of-reach VA care,” said Susan Hartman, chief executive officer, HealthSouth Nittany Valley.
“Rehabilitation and support play an important role in helping veterans regain lost independence.”
HealthSouth Nittany Valley is a non-Veterans Administration provider able to serve veterans who are eligible members of HealthNet Federal Veterans Choice Program.
The Veterans Choice Program makes it possible for a veteran to receive care from a non-VA provider in their community under certain circumstances.
If a veteran has faced unsatisfactory wait times for needed medical care, or his or her regular VA medical facility is unavailable to provide needed medical care, the veteran may be eligible for rehabilitative care at HealthSouth Nittany Valley.
HealthSouth Nittany Valley will handle the authorization process for members of the Veterans Choice Program.
For more information about how HealthSouth Nittany Valley can help veterans through the Veterans Choice Program process, call the admissions office at 814-359-3421.
