State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of stalking and harassment that occurred Sunday on Curtin Street in Osceola Mills Borough. During the incident, a 26-year-old Osceola Mills man allegedly placed a GPS-tracking device on the victim’s vehicle. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police reported on a DUI/drug incident that occurred Monday on Interstate 80 eastbound at mile-marker 135 in Cooper Township. According to state police, a 22-year-old Beccaria man was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He was allegedly found to be under the influence of controlled substances. Charges will be filed through the district court.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Oct. 3-7 on the Port Matilda Highway in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly made unauthorized purchases online after obtaining the victim’s credit card information. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Monday on State Street in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly caused damages to a residence.
- State police reported on a DUI incident that occurred Sept. 23 in the area of Stone and Railroad streets in Osceola Mills Borough. According to state police, a vehicle operated by a 33-year-old Osceola Mills woman was stopped for an expired registration. She was allegedly found to be driving while under the influence.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of recklessly endangering another person that occurred Monday on Gresock Road in Young Township. During the incident, a 41-year-old man was driving behind the victim when he allegedly ran her off the roadway. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Sandy Township
- On Friday Wal-Mart employees alleged that an elderly female used a counterfeit $50 bill to pay for her purchase. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- While at Snappy’s Convenience Store on Saturday, police identified a suspicious male. He ducked into a restroom when he saw the officer pull in. The 33-year-old Penfield man had a warrant out of Philadelphia, and he was taken into custody and transported to county jail.
- On Sunday a resident reported hearing an accident outside his home. When he went out to investigate, he found a speed limit sign had been hit and knocked over. He stated there was a vehicle sitting along Oklahoma Salem Road, which fled the scene.
- On Sunday Wal-Mart employees reported finding a wallet that contained two baggies with a small amount of suspected methamphetamine. Police say the wallet belonged to a 26-year-old Ridgway man who eventually returned to the store. He sent his 23-year-old girlfriend inside to retrieve the wallet. Police spoke to both and they denied any knowledge of the drugs in the wallet. Both were released and the bags were destroyed.
