State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Oct. 22-24 at the West Branch Dairy Diner in Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly used unknown instruments to damage a heat/air inverter ($150) and wooden trim work around the entry door (100). Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Sunday on Florence Street in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, there was a disagreement at a Halloween party, and a 30-year-old Philipsburg man, Louis A. Lafuria, allegedly punched the victim in the face. Lafuria was cited through the district court.
State police at DuBois
- State police reported on a drug-related harassment incident that occurred Monday at a Main Street apartment in Falls Creek. During the incident, a couple engaged in an argument that allegedly turned physical. State police say drug paraphernalia was also seized from the scene. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Oct. 17 on East Pine Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a boyfriend allegedly shoved his girlfriend.
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred Friday in the area of West Maple and Water streets in Philipsburg Borough. According to state police, an incident of domestic violence occurred during the morning hours inside a vehicle. During the incident, a 19-year-old Johnstown man allegedly struck the victim with an aerosol can several times and also tightly squeezed the victim’s arm, causing visible injuries. An arrest warrant was issued for the man, identified as Nathan L. Hetrick, and he was later taken into custody. He was arraigned in district court and released on $10,000 unsecured bail. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct that occurred Saturday at the Port Matilda Post Office in Port Matilda Borough. During the incident, a 49-year-old Port Matilda man, William E. Ames, allegedly caused a disturbance due to being unhappy with his service. State police say he raised his voice in a threatening and demeaning manner at an employee, causing a public disturbance. Ames was cited for the incident through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Oct. 23-25 in the Philipsburg-Osceola High School parking lot in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly loosened the lug nuts on a Toyota RAV while it was parked in the lot. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Sunday on East Pine Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a couple allegedly pushed each other while engaged in an argument. Both were cited for the incident through the district court.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred sometime Friday or Saturday on Askey Drive, Brockport. During the incident, someone allegedly took a black, metal mailbox belonging to the victim. It’s valued at $40, according to state police, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a female who was grabbed while she was outside walking her dog on North Fourth Street. She was unable to provide any description of the person, and police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a male who allegedly took items from Sheetz and then fled the store when he was confronted by staff. He was later located and taken into custody.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male on Park Place Drive. When police located the male, he provided another person’s identification card. He was allegedly found to be under the influence of narcotics. Police say he was transported to the hospital where he was medically cleared and later transported to the jail.
- Police received a report regarding a disabled vehicle along South Front Street.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with a report about a vehicle that was being used without authorization.
- Police received a report about a male who was making threats of self-harm on West Market Street. Police subsequently took the male to the hospital for treatment.
- Police arrested a male for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol after he was stopped for a traffic violation along East Market Street.
- Police responded to an animal complaint along South Seventh Avenue. The dog was located and returned to its owner.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a couple that was unable to be reached by phone on Martin Street. Police made contact with the couple and found them to be OK.
- Police reported that a street sign, located at the intersection of Daisy Street and Bigler Avenue, was damaged after a vehicle collided with it and fled the scene.
- Police arrested a male on an outstanding Sheriff’s Office warrant after he was seen walking along Bridge Street. He was transported to the jail.
- Police arrested a male for allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance after he was stopped along North Fourth Street for a traffic violation.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct that occurred at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School. Police say that a male student will be cited for his actions.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle crash in the area of Old Town Road and Chester Street.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment at the Lawrence Park Village.
- Police received a mandated report about possible abuse from Mountain Laurel Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center. The incident was listed as unfounded by police.
- Police received a report about a possible theft. The incident was listed as a landlord-tenant issue.
- Police received a report about a crash involving a deer on Route 879.
- Police received a report about a property dispute on Larson Road.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment at Lawrence Park Village.

DuBois City
- Police received a report about a disturbance at the DuBois Counseling Center. Police say a patient was beating his fists on the wall, and he had staff and other clients afraid to leave the office. Upon arrival, police made contact with the patient, and he was advised he wasn’t permitted back on the property; he left without further incident.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run crash that occurred in the parking lot on Hoover Avenue. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- While on patrol, police observed a vehicle towing a trailer parked in front of the Nelson House. Its hazard lights were on, and several people were around the vehicle. Police spoke with a passenger who stated some items had fallen off and they were gathering them. Police cleared the scene without incident.
- Police responded to a hold-up alarm at Julio’s Tavern. Upon arrival, police spoke with an employee who stated she’d accidentally set off the alarm and that everything was OK. Police cleared the scene.
