CLEARFIELD – The art of Benjamin Saggese is now on exhibit at LHU Clearfield, and the public is invited to view.
Saggese, based in Munson, Pa., has won awards at the Susquehanna River Art Center’s juried shows as well as Best of Show at the Blair County Art Festival.
His paintings have received more than 150 awards from shows throughout the United States. Saggese has exhibited in the Juried Images Exhibition at the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, annually at the Laurel Festival in Brookville, and many other locations.
The exhibit is currently open through Dec. 15 at Clearfield campus’ Founders’ Hall.
Saggese has served as the Arts Superintendent of the Clearfield County fair Board where more than 1,300 pieces of art are shown annually. He has served on the board of directors for CAST and has taught students for more than 15 years.
According to Saggese, “I hope my work provokes immediate reaction, thought and contemplation. With that bringing reconciliation and hope within our individual temperaments.”
LHU Clearfield is proud to partner with the Susquehanna River Arts Center on various exhibits which are always open to the public.
Different artists will be featured during the exhibits throughout the year. Founders’ Hall is open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Fridays.
