Richard Lee Renoe, 88, of Keewaydin went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born June 30, 1929 in Kylertown, he was the son of the late Irvin E. and Edith Damey Renoe.
Surviving are his sisters, Betty McGovern of Keewaydin and Marilyn Swartz of Tucson, Ariz.; his brother, Haskell Renoe of Keewaydin; dear friends, Jim and Mandy Wagner of Pine Glen; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, all of whom he was very close to.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mabel Renoe, Evelyn Viehdofer and Emily Viehdofer; a brother, Earl Renoe; a and long-time companion, Mary Miller.
Mr. Renoe was affiliated with the Shephard of the Hills Lutheran Church, Karthaus. He retired from the former R.L. Maney Coal Co., Keewaydin.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He was a life member of the Leigey-Renaud V.F.W., Post No. 8386, Frenchville, where he served as an honor guard for many years.
He was a member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Club, Frenchville.
There will be no public visitation.
Graveside military honors will be accorded at the Keewaydin Cemetery, Keewaydin, at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mosquito Club Sportsmen’s Club, Frenchville, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
