Larry Greathouse, 61, of Kersey died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Altoona.
Born Sept. 16, 1956 in DuBois, he was the son of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Hoyt) Greathouse.
On Dec. 29, 2010, he married Beth (Oknefski) Greathouse. She survives.
He retired from SGL Carbon in St. Mary’s after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5887 and the American Legion Post 208, both in Ridgway.
He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, hunting and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
He is survived by two children, Gretchen Greathouse of Hughesville, Md., and Troy Greathouse of Accokeek, Md.; two step-children, Ur Frederick of Pittsburgh and George Frederick of Ridgway; a brother, Ronald Greathouse and his wife, Joyce of DuBois; and two sisters, Linda Moore and her husband, Richard of Reynoldsville and Janice Pregmon and her husband, Thomas of Treasure Lake.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. A private funeral service will follow.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
