Madaline Duke, 89, of Ramey died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born March 8, 1928 in Chesterfield, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Duch) Bungo.
She graduated from the Madera High School in 1945. She owned and operated Duke’s Greenhouse in Ramey for years; she was also a homemaker.
She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of America Victoria Court 646.
She married Leonard Duke on June 12, 1950 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He preceded her in death in 1990.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Jane) Duke of Rochester, NY and Gerard (Julie) Duke of Mechanicsburg, two granddaughters, Michelle and Laura Duke and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Duke in 1986 and a sister, Delores Martz in 2013.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Ramey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey, with Fr. Zab Amar as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
