State police at Clearfield
- State police reported a drug violation that occurred Sunday at a business located along the Morrisdale-Allport Highway in Morris Township. During the incident, a 27-year-old Morrisdale man, Justin Wayne, was allegedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed through the district court.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Saturday in the area of Route 504 and Medical Center Drive in Rush Township. According to state police, a vehicle stop was conducted after several traffic violations. Upon investigation, it was found the driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police reported an incident f DUI that occurred Saturday on Railroad Street in Rush Township. According to state police, a vehicle stop was conducted after a traffic violation. Upon investigation, it was found the driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Sept. 15 at Weis Market in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a Philipsburg female, Dorothy Hummel, allegedly placed three items in her purse without paying for them. She was charged for the incident through the district court.
- State police responded to a hit-and-run crash Monday at Uni-Mart in Rush Township. According to state police, a dark-colored sedan backed into a trash can, causing damage to it as well as a store window. State police believe the suspect vehicle has damage to the center/passenger’s side of its rear bumper. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Thursday on Ramseytown Road in Knox Township. During the incident, a known person allegedly threatened to kill the victim via phone. Charges were filed through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of fraud/forgery that occurred sometime between Sept. 1 and Sept. 25 on Langville Road in Beaver Township. During the incident, someone allegedly used the victim’s information to open a Comcast account.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred between Sept. 30 and Saturday on Spankles Mills Road in Oliver Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took the victim’s game camera.
- On Sept. 29, state police conducted an investigation into child custody on Church Street in Mahaffey Borough.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Sept. 26 on Mill Street in St. Marys. During the incident, two suspects allegedly entered private property, which was properly posted, and removed multiple items belonging to the victim.
Clearfield Borough
- While on patrol, police located a male for whom there was an active warrant on South Third Street. Police made contact with the male, and he was able to satisfy the warrant.
- Police responded to a 911 hang-up call at an address along West First Avenue. Upon arrival, police found that a child played with the phone and dialed 911.
- Police received a report about a vehicle break-in on East Locust Street. During the incident, someone allegedly smashed out a car window and removed items and medication from inside. Later in the day, police located a possible suspect who had some of the items on him. He was found to have active arrest warrants and was taken to county jail.
- Police reported that a bicycle was removed from the front porch of a residence along South Third Street.
- Police received a report about wires down on Leavy Avenue. Police located the wires and believed they were either cable or phone lines.
- A male was turned over to police after being found to have an active arrest warrant through the Clearfield Borough police. He had been involved in an incident being handled by the Lawrence Township police.
- Police responded to a reported suspicious vehicle that was following the caller on South Sixth Street. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate the vehicle as it had turned off the roadway.
- Police investigated an incident of harassment that was reported by a Leavy Avenue resident. She told police that she’s been harassed by her ex-husband. Police contacted him and advised him to cease contact.
- Police arrested a female for allegedly driving under the influence after she was stopped along Bigler Avenue for several traffic violations.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with a reported vehicle accident along Carr’s Hill. However, it was determined that the accident occurred in the state police’s jurisdiction.
- Police responded to a noise complaint along Turnpike Avenue. Police made contact with a female and advised her of the complaint. She then turned down the music.
- A small dog was brought to the police station after someone located it around East Locust Street. The dog was transported to the SPCA. The owners later arrived at the station to report a missing dog, and they were directed to the SPCA.
- A group of juveniles were located climbing on the Bison Wall along East Market Street. They were warned for their actions.
- Lawrence Township police made contact with a male who held an active arrest warrant through the Clearfield Borough police. He was turned over and transported to the station, where he was able to satisfy the warrant.
- Police responded to an address along Sheridan Avenue and located a male who held several active arrest warrants. He reportedly provided police with a false name before attempting to flee. Police were able to subdue the male and transport him to the jail on the warrants.
- Police are investigating a vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Ogden Avenue and South Third Street. According to police, a motorcycle struck a vehicle, and the motorcyclist was flown for medical treatment.
- Police received a report about a loud bang in the area of Williams and West Pine streets. Police searched the area and were unable to locate anything.
- Police responded to a report about a female who was attempting to harm herself at a South Fifth Street address. Upon arrival, police were able to summons help to the scene.
- Police received a report about a female who was attempting to harm herself on Merrill Street. Upon arrival, police assisted emergency personnel with getting her to the hospital for treatment.
Lawrence Township
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an out-of-state female and her children.
- Police received a report about a possible protection from abuse order violation.
- Police received a report about child custody issues.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with a DUI incident.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Carr’s Hill. Police say the vehicle’s occupants fled the scene.
- Police conducted a traffic stop, which resulted in a DUI. Charges are currently pending at this time.

- Police received an animal complaint that occurred in the area behind the Clearfield Mall. Police say there was reportedly a loose cow that was “mooing loudly.” When police checked the area, they couldn’t locate the cow.

- Police received a report about a suspicious male at the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop. Police located the male who was later taken to the hospital for treatment.
DuBois City
- Police were dispatched to assist emergency personnel on Liberty Boulevard. Police made contact with the male and he was taken to the hospital for an evaluation and treatment.
- Police received a report about an incident of fraud. The caller told police that her credit report showed multiple unauthorized accounts with charges. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment. According to police, a male was upset because his neighbors had told him not to talk to them. Police advised that it wasn’t a crime.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday a 55-year-old Sabula man reported to police that a window was broken out at the old Sabula Market. Upon further investigation, officers found damage to the outside of the vacant building. Police say that the doors were unlocked, and an officer found damage inside the building. It also appeared that someone had sprayed a fire extinguisher. Police contacted the building owner regarding the damage.
- On Wednesday Wal-Mart employees reported witnessing a male suspect switching tags on items. He then allegedly used the self-check-out to purchase them. The man, along with a woman who was with him, attempted to leave the store. When employees confronted the couple, they fled the scene. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Thursday Falls Creek Sheetz employees reported to police that a male and female had been there since the day before. They had also been in and out of the store. Police located the couple and handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a male and female involved in a verbal dispute in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Thursday. Officers located the 29-year-old DuBois woman and her 31-year-old boyfriend in their vehicle. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Thursday a Sylvan Heights resident reported that when he returned home, there was a young male attempting to gain access to his garage through a side man door. However, the boy ran from the scene when he saw the resident return home.
- On Thursday a 74-year-old Treasure Lake man reported receiving phone calls from someone claiming they were from the IRS. He recognized the call as a scam and did not provide any information.
- On Thursday a Bee Line Highway resident reported that someone attempted to gain entry to her home during the night. She requested extra patrols in the area.
