CLEARFIELD – St. Francis of Assisi Church of Clearfield will mark the 100th anniversary of the final apparition of the Blessed Mother to three young children in Fatima, Portugal on Oct. 13.
Mass will be offered at 7 a.m. and 12:05 p.m. For adoration, the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be following morning mass until 12 p.m.; it will return following mass until Benediction at 6 p.m. that evening.
The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 a.m., 9 a.m., and 6 p.m. The Rosary and Divine Mercy will be recited following the 12:05 p.m. mass and again at 3 p.m.
Confessions will be heard between 10:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., and again at 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Benediction will be celebrated by Father Marc Solomon of Christ the King Parish.
The Clearfield Chapter of the Blue Army’s Statue of Our Lady of Fatima will be displayed for public veneration in the church.
The celebration is open to the community. St. Francis Parish wants to honor Lady of Fatima in a special way, and the best way is with prayer, says a church spokesperson.
