State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported a dog law violation that occurred Monday on Red Pine Street in Halfmoon Township. Upon arrival, it was found that the victim was bitten by a dog owned by a 61-year-old woman. State police cited the woman through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Sept. 28 on Dogwood Drive in Rush Township. During the incident, a 63-year-old Philipsburg man allegedly posted vulgar and derogatory comments about the victim on social media.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Sept. 9 on Lochlomond Road in Rush Township. During the incident, a Philipsburg couple allegedly removed a Vizio television and a cell phone from the victim’s residence.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft by deception that occurred June 7 in the Ninth Street area of Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 34-year-old Chester Hill woman allegedly sold the victim a cell phone knowing it couldn’t be activated.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment by communications. It was listed as unfounded by police.
- Police received a report about an automatic fire alarm at the Comfort Inn.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct involving a female juvenile.
- Police assisted a motorist on state Route 879.
- Police conducted a traffic stop along Route 879 that resulted in a driver being arrested for allegedly being under the influence.
Sandy Township
- While on patrol Friday, police observed a shed door open at Wayne Road Storage on the Bee Line Highway. Upon investigation, it was discovered that several storage units had allegedly been broken in to. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Friday police were dispatched after a 911 call, where a man could be heard breathing in the background. However, no one would talk. Upon investigation, it was found the man had accidently bumped the call button on his phone, which was clipped to his belt.
- Police received a report about a false alarm Friday at a San Spur Road residence.
- On Friday a 44-year-old township resident reported she had received 14 harassing Facebook messages from a man her sister is dating.
- On Friday a Carson Avenue resident reported having a Pitbull mix that had been running around the neighborhood. The black and white dog didn’t have any tags, according to the report. Officers took custody of the dog and transported it to the kennel.
- On Saturday a 38-year-old Circle Road man reported his neighbors were playing loud music. Officers drove through the area and were unable to locate the source of the loud music. Shortly after officers left the area, the man called back reporting loud music was being played again. Officers returned to the area and again the music was off.
- On Saturday a man reported that a neighbor of his father – who lives on Carson Avenue – told him his father’s car alarm had gone off the past couple nights. The man’s father looked at the vehicle in the morning and found a large dent on the hood. They asked for extra police patrols in the area.
- On Saturday a 35-year-old Tozier Avenue woman reported that someone had broken into the residence she shares with her mother and her mother’s boyfriend. They allegedly took items from her purse before fleeing from the residence. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Saturday a Chapman Trailer Court resident reported that she took her vehicle for a ride on Hungry Hollow Road. She was trying to see if there was a problem with it. However, she lost control and the vehicle went over an embankment, coming to rest against a tree. No injuries were reported to police as a result.
- On Saturday a 43-year-old Circle Road man reported that while on the Bee Line Highway, a white four-door sedan rear-ended his vehicle. Its driver then fled the scene.
