CLEARFIELD – People will “fall” into fun at the seventh annual Clearfield Fall Festival on Oct. 14 in downtown Clearfield.
The festival is being held in conjunction with the Clearfield Pumpkin Run/Walk 5K and the Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show. It’s being hosted by the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC).
Events will start off with the Pumpkin Run through the streets of Clearfield. Participants must register by Sept. 30 to be guaranteed a race T-shirt.
Day-of registration will begin at 7 a.m. and run until 8 a.m., and the race will get under way at 8:30 a.m. Visit www.discoverclearfield.com for more information.
After the race, the admission free, family-friendly fall festival will fill Market, Locust and Third streets from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Festival-goers will be able to enjoy their favorite fall foods while mingling with more than 100 talented artisans.
Artisans will display and sell work ranging from ceramics, fiber, wood, leather and metalwork to jewelry, glass, photography and mixed-media art pieces.
Many downtown businesses will also be open to showcase fall sales, according to CRC Main Street Manager Loretta Wagner.
There will be live entertainment by Joe Quick from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., which will be followed by Guiternia student musicians and Temptation Alley in front of the Clearfield County Courthouse from 12:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Additionally, live entertainment by Innocent Sin will take place in the Express Café parking lot from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Kids will be able to “Chalk-Up Clearfield” in the courthouse and “kid’s” area by designing their own square on the sidewalk.
There will also be lots of games, face painting and fall activities for kids all day throughout the festival, adds Wagner.
Attendees will also be able to try out the Pennsylvania DUI Simulator, located on Third Street by State Farm Insurance Agent Rob Bozovich’s office, and explore the Daughter of Darkness Vietnam War truck.
The Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade will take place at 11 a.m. in the Express Cafe parking lot. It’s being sponsored by the Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic/Animal Welfare Council.
Pets must be leashed and current on their vaccines. Animals shouldn’t be forced to wear any costumes that cause any discomfort or injury to them.
Pet owners are welcome to come in costume, as well. Prizes will be awarded, and treats will be given to all pets. Participation is free.
The fourth annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show will also be held to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
It will take place in and around the Third Street parking lot with registration from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Registration is a fee of $10.
